Each team will create an employee manual for a hotel, restaurant, or country club on how to avoid some of the legal problems commonly associated with hospitality businesses. The hospitality entity will have at least 50 full-time employees and will be located somewhere in western Europe. Please include a table of contents and/or index. Pictures, videos and case scenarios can be used to explain some of the key points. I am expecting a professional document.
Hospitality Law Process:
1. You are expected to create a manual to cover how a hospitality establishment might avoid the following potential legal problems:
• Torts
• Contributory and Comparative Negligence
• Intentional Acts
• Crimes against Guests
The report word file (The word limit is set at 1000 words (+/- 10%).
2. Assessment Criteria / Grading Scale
The report will be assessed equally in the following ways:
• Interpretation of the task (20%)
• Development of a logical and well ordered argument (20%)
• Ability to organise relevant material to support your argument (20%)
• Knowledge of relevant hospitality law (20%)
• Clarity, style and coherence of the work (20%)
3. Assessment Criteria / Grading Scale
The word count must be stated on the cover page. Throughout the paper, lists of bullet points without sufficient discussion and argumentation are not acceptable.
The report has to be typed, font 12, font style ‘Times New Roman’, double-spaced, and the hard-copy stapled at the top left corner. No plastic bindings or folders should be used.
Paper should be referenced using Harvard style. References are crosschecked and your report will be uploaded on turnitin and reviewed for plagiarism.
