Identify at least four of the key decisions made during the pre-initiating and initiating processes.

Identify at least four of the key decisions made during the pre-initiating and initiating processes.

1. Identify at least four of the key decisions made during the pre-initiating and initiating processes. Do you think all necessary decisions can be made during this process? Why or why not?

2. Give your opinion after reviewing the scope planning and WBS documents prepared by the Just-In-Time Training project team. Do these examples seem too broad or too detailed in certain areas? Would you have developed the documents differently?

3.  Stakeholders, as the name implies, have a stake in the project. Their interest might be large or small compared to other stakeholders. Often, their requirements are at odds with other stakeholders and the scope of the project. Discuss several strategies you believe would meet all stakeholder requirements.

4. Project managers, when engaging stakeholders, use techniques mentioned in this module. Are some of these techniques better that others or do all work equally well? Choose one of these techniques and discuss its pros and cons if you would or would not use it.

5.  When considering the three main objectives of integrated change control, would you apply these objectives to both large/complex and small/simple projects? Why or why not?

6. The Project Management Institute (PMI) states that all projects should be formally closed when following the PMBOK® guide, although experienced project managers often disagree. Identify a possible exception using an example and explain why there should or should not be exceptions to a formal close.

7.  Explain what a best practice is in general terms and give examples of best practices in an area unrelated to project management, such as aviation or safety.
