Luckily no one was hurt, but Joshua pleaded guilty and is willing to do whatever it takes to avoid ever driving under the influence again. Using your state, or a state that interests you, discuss how to best deal with Joshua under the current probation and parole systems available for people like Joshua; use the methods discussed in this unit, as well as any others utilized by your state. You should discuss what the best option is for Joshua, and why that will be the most effective method. Also, discuss what the least effective option is for Joshua. As always, using specific case examples and statistics will strengthen your answer. (It is up to you to choose what Joshua was under the influence of at the time of his arrest.)
