How many fingers and toes, if any, does your race have? What color is their skindo they come in different colors? How do they reproduce? How do they breathe? Can they speak? What do they sound like that? The more descriptive you are, the better. Appeal to your readers five senses: sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell.
What sort of mating practices does your race have? Do they have marriages? How do they raise their young? How do they educate themselves? Do they value science, the arts, or both? Do they like music? If so, what does their music sound like? Do they dance? Do they have celebrations or festivals? How do they dress, or do they wear clothing at all? Do they have social classes? Do different classes dress or speak differently? What other forms of entertainment do they engage in?
