The first article must focus on Market Segmentation
The first article must focus on Market Segmentation (Chapter 6) for example products/services focused on children, tweens, teens, seniors, Latinos, etc. The chosen article cannot be more than two months old. As long as the article pertains to market segmentation, it can come from any source. Articles in newspapers, magazines, trade journals, and online sources are all good choices. Some of the better sources include Fortune, Forbes, Business Week, The Wall Street Journal, Advertising Age, etc. Meaningful articles are those that are usually longer, more substantive articles rather than short news briefs. Advertisements do NOT qualify as articles nor do academic discussions of a topic including "how-to" pieces. If you are in doubt about this article, let me see it first. You must submit a typed two page analysis of each article. The analysis consists of two parts: 1) a brief summary of the article and 2) managerial implications (why is the article important? What can we learn from it?, etc.). A clear reference citation or an internet link must be included with the review. The following text is used for this course: Pride-Ferrell Marketing – 2014 Edition”; (17th Edition) By William M. Pride and O.C. Ferrell; Houghton-Mifflin, ISBN 978-1-133-93925-2
