Your workbook should be capable of being used by a learner as an interactive independent learning resource.
You should include a range of activities for the learner to undertake in order to demonstrate how active learning will be achieved in the absence of a teacher or facilitator and without reference to other information sources.
Opportunities for self-assessment by the student should be built into your design and you should include an evaluation form at the end so that the learner can comment on the workbook and feedback to the designer on its value as an educational resource.
The written justification should highlight the nature of the learners, the learning context, the learning outcomes and the educational theory(s) that you have used to inform the design. You should include a justification for the various design decisions, such as your choices of font style, colour palette and the layout format which have informed the production of the work book.
