Consider the intersubjective process of racial/ethnic identity
Consider the intersubjective process of racial/ethnic identity construction for the particular population in the reading. After briefly summarizing the authors observations about racial/ethnic identity construction and the discrimination this population encountered, analyze the authors arguments and/or the populations experiences with respect to the theories you have encountered in Nina Jablonskis Living Color. Which of Jablonskis arguments are clearly applicable to the new population you are reading about? In what ways does this population challenge or complicate some of Jablonskis theories? In what respects do you think Jablonski and the author you selected agree about the social construction of race or ethnicity in general and in which ways do their theories or styles of representation differ?
