Case # 1 is a real life case of data that was collect in the spring of 2013 from the Tofino community. The case study intent was to explore a depth of understanding regarding existing labour market practices. Your job is to analyze the case in depth and referring to the group case study evaluation rubrics (as handed out in class and I will be using to grade your work) you must address 4 key aspects noted below:
1.) Identification of the main issues and problems. What are the key HR issues in Tofino?
2.) Analysis of the issues.
3.) Recommendations on effective solutions/strategies. The solution may be in the case already or proposed by you. Or another way of asking, what can be done to address the issues? what are your recommendations?
4.) Links to course readings and additional research. You must consider use of all the material we have covered so far in the course PLUS you must have an additional 3 references. Possible material to reference from the course to date include:
