3. Demonstrate an understanding of the multi-professional nature of services in
the early years through critical and well informed discussion.
• Discuss with some understanding the roles of early years professionals or
those working with children in particular settings, drawing upon illustrative
examples which link theory to practice.
• Identify some of the structures, functions and philosophies of services for
children and their families.
• Disseminate knowledge gained through placement experience of services for
children and their families in a clear, reflective manner
